The Master of Science in Education is a 30-hour program for teachers who already possess a bachelor's degree, and who have already completed a teacher certification program: It allows professionals in education to extend their knowledge and skills, and to acquire additional credentials that will allow them to advance their careers where a master's degree is required. The program is directed by the Faculty and Staff in the Office of Teacher Education.

For admission to the MS program, candidates must possess an education baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university and have a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale. In addition, candidates must take the GRE and provide 3 professional references.
Candidates can be provisionally admitted when their application and official transcripts are received. They will be fully admitted when all transcripts, test scores, and references are received by the university. This information must be received before students complete their first six hours of coursework.
Candidates who have taken graduate coursework in education at another institution may request up to 6 hours of transfer credit. Appropriate documentation must be presented to the Office of Teacher Education for review and approval.
