The College of Law is housed in a 131,760-square-foot facility on the Broadway campus. The four-story building includes a combination appellate moot court room-auditorium, a trial court room, five lecture rooms, seminar-meeting rooms, placement interviewing facilities, staff and faculty lounges, faculty and administrative offices, Law Review and Moot Court offices. An extensive system of built-in audiovisual equipment has been installed for the use of students, faculty, and staff. The facility also houses the Loyola Law Clinic, an operational law office providing legal services to those who might not otherwise be served. Plans for remodelling the former Dominican Conference Center will provide an additional 24,190 square feet which will be available for use by the College of Law.
The Loyola University New Orleans Collece of Law Library is housed in the College of Law building, which is on the Dominican campus. It occupies parts of the first and third floors and all of the second floor of the main building, a total of 52,000 square feet. The Library's full-time staff numbers eight, including five librarians. Within the law library are two student computer labs. One contains 30 desktop computers; the other is the Morris Bart Instructional Lab.
The Morris Bart Instructional Laboratory, created from a gift given by Morris Bart, J.D., '78, is located on the second floor of the College of Law library. The lab features a SmartBoard projection system. The lab is used for student instruction, faculty/staff instruction, research, CLE, career services, and other technology-driven instructional needs.
The Broadway Activities Center (BAC), located across the street from the College of Law, houses the Broadway Campus mail room, University Ministry office, one law classroom (BA 202), the SBA office, and offices for student organizations, as well as individual storage lockers which are available for rental for a nominal fee. Food and snacks are available for purchase in the BAC. The BAC operates under the supervision of the director of the Joseph A. Danna Student Center and student activities. The Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic Building is located at 540 Broadway Street. Opened in 2011, it houses the law clinic, clinical faculty offices, the Gillis Long Poverty Law Center, the Incubator Program, two classrooms, five conference rooms, several client meeting rooms, and a computer lab for law students participating in the clinic.
